Itaewon Class (Korean Drama)

This is a story about the vicissitudes of Park Saeroyi's life, especially how he loses everything of importance to him and decides to take revenge. It's about the friends he meets, the enemy he strives against and the difficulties he overcomes as they hit him wave after wave...

There isn't much romance in this story, but friendship and loyalty are the themes of the day. There are sixteen episodes in the season. The pace is pretty good, with each episode ending with a cliffhanger. The tensions are taut at all the right times. The characters are quite believable and their arcs are natural. Still on Episode 15 here, so will update with a comment on the ending soon.

Without spoiling the series or ending, I will say that the series as a whole follows an arc that is quite natural and makes sense!

Itaewon Class is based on a webtoon by the same name. The producers really matched the actors to the manga. Haven't read the webtoon yet, but the drama is highly recommended!
