Crash Landing on You (Korean Drama)

This is a very sweet angsty romance drama exploding at the seams with drama. Yoon Se-ri, a South Korean heiress who owns an uber-successful fashion brand, goes paragliding one day and gets caught up in a twister. It is not The Wizard of Oz - when she wakes up, she is alive and the ropes of her sail are caught in a tree... in North Korea.

Despite her calls for help and her pleas through a useless walkie-talkie, Se-ri remains stuck. In her distress, she doesn't notice Captain Ri Jeong-Hyeok approaching the tree, overhearing her monologue. So it begins.

Episode 1 is kind of slow, but things pick up in Episode 2 and thereafter. The characters have serious chemistry and acting skill. The writing is really fine. And the original soundtrack is awesome. I had serious withdrawal symptoms for about a fortnight after finishing the drama. Just from reading comments and reviews of other k-dramas, and trying to watch an episode of 'Hyde, Jekyll and me,' I have not been able to find a parallel series to watch. Yes, first world problems... I ended up watching 'Itaewon Class' for a complete change of gears... Happy viewing.
