Extended Holiday
because of the coronavirus. Originally, we were going back to school on 3 February, but given the wayward and dangerous virus, it's been extended for a fortnight. Surgical masks (pictured) are out of stock. Vegetable prices are at an all-time high. Paranoia is up there.
A friend who is moving away from HK is trying to throw a dinner party. At first, it was karaoke, but now it's dinner. At this rate, it might not even materialise because people don't really want to leave the safety of their homes. :-(
Hoping it will blow over soon since people everywhere are trying to stay healthy by wearing masks and keeping their hands clean with rubbing alcohol/the like.
**Update**
It's mid April and the virus is just as virulent, especially since a wave of students returned to Hong Kong from boarding school and university for the Easter holidays. Locally, the public exams are ready to take place at the end of May, which is also when school should resume, universities, secondary schools, primary schools and kindergartens. Kabam.
