Mt. Marking

We have two days' holiday this week, and I'm scaling Mt. Marking with my green pen and scoresheets. My stronger classes do not seem to know what a word limit is. 250 words is one side of paper, so why am I getting 3+ sides?? I need to teach them how to summarise texts and write concisely. I'm also going to have to cap them at 2 sides next time and stop reading anything after that. This is ridiculous.

I am still stuck with over 30 hours' marking, some of it dating to early September. Not sure how this happened. Shall be doing a dissection of it soonish...

Meanwhile, back to the grind. Grrr.
