Fran Notebooks

I hate extraneous packaging. It catches the eye, persuades some customer to buy the product and it's ripped and torn and thrown away. Hello, landfill.

But much of it can be reused. The plastic from boxes is stiff enough for making pen loops (a holder fixed to the side of a notebook for slipping a pen or pencil into). The ribbon can decorate something else or be refashioned into bookmarks. Card and paper? So many options... so today, I made some notebooks out of Fran boxes and new paper. They turned out pretty well and they'll go off to Melbourne in a while as a gift!

Fran, in case you don't know, is a snack consisting of sticks of biscuits covered in chocolate.
